FRANKIE
Yeah?
47. INT. KAY’S HOUSE – LIVING ROOM – DAY
KAY is at the other end of the phone.
KAY
Frankie, um, I called to tell you two things. The first is to thank you.
INTERCUT BETWEEN FRANKIE AND KAY.
FRANKIE
For what?
KAY
For getting me that designing job. I was at a party at Mr. Regan’s last night and he told me how I got the break. Thank you, Frankie. It was a very kind thing to do.
FRANKIE
What’s the second thing?
KAY
Oh, I’m, I’m sorry for what I said on the boat.
FRANKIE
Look, ah, how would you like to go down to Tijuana for the bull fights with me this afternoon?
KAY
Well, I don’t know, Frankie, I . . .
FRANKIE
I’m not about to hassle with you. I’m sorry about what I said. You’re sorry about what you said. Let’s make up. You either trust me or you don’t. You either want to go or you don’t. Yes or no.
KAY
No hassle?
FRANKIE
No hassle.
KAY
I’d like to go very much, Frankie.
FRANKIE

Frankie puts the phone back into its cradle.
